Meet LOU
Hi, I’m Lou, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
I’m passionate about helping people move, feel, and live well through every stage of life. My work brings together Pilates, movement, mindfulness, nervous system health, brain health, and healthy ageing to support a holistic approach to wellbeing that goes far beyond exercise alone.
As a Certified Mat Pilates Instructor (Certificate IV in Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology through Tensegrity Studio) and Masters of Education, I bring a unique perspective to teaching movement. My background in education has shaped my understanding that meaningful learning happens through experience, feedback, and connection. This philosophy carries through to every class I teach.
I believe movement is about much more than building strength or improving fitness. It’s about developing body awareness, enhancing balance and coordination, improving proprioception, and giving the brain the sensory information it needs to move efficiently and confidently in everyday life.
My classes are designed with the nervous system in mind. By creating opportunities for the brain and body to work together, participants can improve movement quality, build resilience, and maintain function as they age. Whether you’re looking to move more freely, improve balance, support recovery, stay active, or simply feel better in your body, my goal is to help you build a foundation for lifelong wellbeing.
Through classes, workshops, and educational content, I share practical strategies that support physical health, mental wellbeing, longevity, and happiness. I believe that small, consistent actions can have a profound impact on how we feel and function, both now and in the years ahead.
Join me as we explore movement with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Together, we can build stronger connections between brain and body, move with greater confidence, and create habits that support a vibrant and fulfilling life.
I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness – it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.
